Terms of Use and Service

Effective September 12, 2026. These Terms define what StreamMux provides, what you are responsible for, and how we respond to unlawful or abusive use.

Core condition

StreamMux is not a content provider.

You may use StreamMux only with content, accounts, sources, and services that you are legally authorized to access.

Connecting a source or receiving a playable result does not prove authorization. Copyright infringement, credential abuse, redistribution, and attempts to evade service or provider limits can lead to immediate suspension or termination.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Use and Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the operator of StreamMux (“StreamMux,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to the StreamMux websites, addon, APIs, dashboards, playback orchestration, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, installing a StreamMux manifest, connecting a source, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. What StreamMux provides

StreamMux is a software orchestration layer. It can query user-selected addons, indexers, Debrid accounts, Usenet/NNTP accounts, Jellyfin or Emby servers, and other compatible sources; inspect available media; rank video and audio candidates; and return a direct or server-assisted playback path to a compatible player.

StreamMux is not a streaming catalog, broadcaster, content licensor, or seller of movies, television programs, music, or other media. We do not grant you any copyright, distribution right, public-performance right, or access right in third-party content. A technical ability to locate, retrieve, transform, or play data does not mean that the data is lawful or that you are authorized to use it.

The Service may temporarily retrieve, proxy, segment, remux, transcode, buffer, or cache data when technically necessary to deliver an authorized playback session. Those technical operations do not transfer ownership of content to StreamMux or to you.

3. Your account and credentials

You must provide accurate account information and keep your password, personal manifest URL, API tokens, profile keys, and connected-service credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access to [email protected].

You may not sell, sublicense, publicly share, or transfer your StreamMux account or personal playback endpoints. You may not evade concurrent-playback, connection, request-rate, geographic, device, plan, or provider limits by rotating accounts, credentials, addresses, tokens, or automated clients.

4. Your sources, content, and authorization

You choose and connect third-party sources. You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, subscriptions, consents, and permissions required to access and use each source and each item of content through the Service. You are solely responsible for verifying that your use complies with applicable law and with every connected provider's terms.

You must not use StreamMux to locate, obtain, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, retransmit, make available, or facilitate access to copyrighted material without authorization from the rights holder or another valid legal basis. StreamMux does not review or approve the legal status of a title, filename, link, NZB, torrent, addon result, library item, or remote server merely because the Service can process it.

You retain responsibility for the sources, URLs, credentials, configuration, and instructions you submit. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process that data to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

5. Prohibited use

You may not use, attempt to use, or help another person use the Service to:

  • infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, database, or other rights;
  • operate a piracy service, public restream, unauthorized video-on-demand catalog, cyberlocker, relay, or redistribution endpoint;
  • bypass DRM, access controls, paywalls, territorial restrictions, account limits, or technological protection measures where prohibited;
  • use stolen, leaked, shared without permission, fraudulently obtained, or otherwise unauthorized credentials or payment methods;
  • upload, request, transmit, or facilitate illegal, exploitative, abusive, deceptive, or harmful material;
  • probe, scan, exploit, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or automate the Service except through documented interfaces and reasonable personal use;
  • introduce malware, interfere with another user, manipulate rankings or usage records, or conceal abuse;
  • resell, white-label, sublicense, or commercially expose the Service without our prior written approval; or
  • violate a connected provider's terms, applicable law, court order, or regulatory requirement.

6. Fair use, technical limits, and abuse enforcement

Your plan may include limits on simultaneous players, connections, bandwidth, requests per second or minute, source resolution, storage, or other resources. Shared integrations may also be subject to provider-specific limits. Published limits and controls shown in the dashboard or checkout form part of these Terms.

Activity may be considered abusive when it threatens availability, security, provider relationships, or fair access for others—even if a numeric limit has not yet been reached. Examples include sustained automated requests, repeated failed resolutions, credential cycling, account pooling, endpoint sharing, excessive concurrent playback, denial-of-service behavior, or attempts to circumvent enforcement.

Depending on severity, recurrence, and risk, we may warn you, reject requests, rate-limit traffic, disable a source, reduce concurrency, require credential rotation, temporarily suspend playback, suspend the account, cancel the subscription, preserve relevant records, or permanently terminate access. Severe security abuse, fraud, illegal activity, or credible infringement may result in immediate action without prior warning. Where permitted by law, fees already paid are not refundable when access is restricted or terminated for a material breach. You may appeal an enforcement decision at [email protected].

7. Copyright and rights-holder notices

We respond to sufficiently detailed, good-faith notices of alleged infringement. Send notices to [email protected] and include: your legal name and contact information; identification of the protected work; enough information to identify the relevant StreamMux account, endpoint, URL, source, or activity; a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act; and your physical or electronic signature.

We may request additional information, forward the notice to the affected user, restrict the identified route or account, and terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. A user who believes a restriction was made in error may send a reasoned counter-notice to the same address, including proof of authorization or another valid legal basis. We may restore access when appropriate and legally permitted.

This process is a general rights-reporting channel. It does not represent that StreamMux has registered a statutory agent, qualifies for a particular safe harbor, or accepts notices that do not satisfy applicable legal requirements.

8. Third-party services

Addons, indexers, Debrid providers, Usenet/NNTP providers, media servers, players, payment processors, hosting providers, and external APIs are independent services. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners. StreamMux is not endorsed by or affiliated with them unless explicitly stated.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own agreement. We do not control its availability, search results, retention, caching, content, security, rate limits, policies, or legality. We may disable or change an integration when needed to protect users, comply with law, honor provider requirements, or maintain the Service.

9. Plans, billing, cancellation, and refunds

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout until canceled. Access is US$3 per month and uses sources you provide. Essential is US$15 per month (R$ 49,90 per month for Brazilian customers) and includes managed Debrid, Usenet, indexing, and P2P services in addition to StreamMux orchestration. Individual service availability can change when a service is unavailable or no longer supported.

Stripe processes payments and may collect taxes and payment information under its own terms. You authorize recurring charges for the selected plan. You can cancel through the billing portal; unless law requires otherwise, access continues until the end of the paid billing period and no prorated refund is issued. We may change future pricing or plan features with reasonable notice. Mandatory refund and consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

10. Service availability and changes

The Service depends on networks, user-provided sources, third-party systems, codecs, players, and infrastructure outside our control. Playback results, startup time, compatibility, media availability, language identification, synchronization, and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed.

Features identified as beta or experimental may fail, change, or be removed. We may maintain, update, replace, limit, or discontinue parts of the Service. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes when practical, but no service-level agreement applies unless we sign one separately.

11. Privacy, security, and operational data

To operate the Service, we may process account details, encrypted configuration and credentials, billing identifiers, IP and device information, request metadata, source and playback diagnostics, security events, and support communications. Payment card details are handled by Stripe rather than stored by StreamMux.

We use this data to authenticate users, provide playback orchestration, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, administer subscriptions, comply with law, and protect the Service. We retain data only as reasonably necessary for those purposes and applicable legal obligations. Requests concerning access, correction, deletion, or other applicable privacy rights may be sent to [email protected]. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Intellectual property and feedback

StreamMux and its software, interface, branding, documentation, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is authorized.

If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided that we do not publicly identify you without permission.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate access when you breach these Terms, create legal or security risk, fail to pay, abuse resources, infringe rights, or when continued operation is no longer commercially or technically reasonable.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including payment obligations, intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and enforcement records—will survive.

14. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation. We do not warrant that a source is lawful, accurate, safe, compatible, available, or authorized merely because StreamMux can discover or process it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreamMux will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, data, goodwill, subscriptions, content, or business opportunity; third-party service failures; or unauthorized use of your account or sources.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to StreamMux during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US$25. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold StreamMux and its operators, contractors, and service providers harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, and reasonable costs arising from your sources, content, credentials, unlawful use, infringement, abuse, or material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by our own unlawful conduct.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without overriding mandatory consumer, privacy, or conflict-of-law protections that apply to you. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact [email protected] and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be submitted to the courts competent under applicable law.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, law, security practices, providers, or business operations. The updated version will show a new effective date. When a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or by email where practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

19. General provisions

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger, financing, restructuring, asset transfer, or change of operator. These Terms and any checkout-specific terms are the entire agreement concerning the Service, except for a separate written agreement signed by both parties.
