Does StreamMux replace my addons?
No. It consumes your configured addons, normalizes their results, and decides which stream to deliver. An addon can also be enabled for catalogs and metadata.
Does every play pass through the server?
No. A compatible single-source result can be returned as a direct URL. Video + audio compositions, P2P, and Usenet use the StreamMux streaming pipeline.
How does it confirm the language?
The media probe is the primary evidence. Tags, localized titles, and addon metadata influence priority, but do not override an explicitly identified audio track in the container.
Are HDR and Dolby Vision preserved?
Video can remain in stream copy during remuxing, preserving HDR10 and Dolby Vision when the source, output container, and player are compatible.
Can I switch audio inside the player?
Yes, in multitrack HLS mode. The default mode sends only the selected audio with the video to maximize compatibility.
